The luxurious take on Micahel Jordans twelfth signature silhouette features a unique upper that, when agitated, will unveil an underlying gold ‘Wings’ pattern in honor of Jordan’s historic ability to soar through the air. At first glance, the black leather upper feels like another premium Jordan release with gold flaked accents for a luxurious finish, but it’s what lies beneath the surface that matters.

The theme of flight will forever be associated with Jordan Brand given Mike’s ability to hang in the air throughout the first half of his career. Spike Lee and Michael Jordan got together for some of the most iconic commercials the sneaker industry has ever seen, but perhaps the most infamous Jordan poster of all time is his ‘Wings’ spread that featured MJ’s wingspan and a quote by English poet William Blake.
This brand new Air Jordan 12 takes inspiration from that 90s nostalgia trip with a luxe take on what would usually pass for the Playoff 12s. Known as the Air Jordan 12 “Wings”, a premium black leather base sees metallic gold accents hit the eyelets and ‘Wings’ adorned midsole for an added lifestyle touch.
Perhaps rewarding his guys for a season well-played, MJ hooked his brand-endorsing Hornets up with the limited edition "Wings" Air Jordan 12. Walker, who played with the rub-off graphic revealed, was joined by teammate Frank Kaminsky.
