Unspecified Health Issues Will Keep Virgil Abloh Away from Fashion Month

According to Vogue.com, Abloh will be taking a medical leave of rest for the next three months, and as a result, he will not be attending his Off-White Spring 2020 runway show during Paris Fashion Week. He's also cancelled a few other scheduled public appearances, including ones for Nike, Ikea, Vogue's Forces of Fashion conference in October and the opening of his exhibition "Figures of Speech" at the High Museum in Atlanta in November.
For the remainder of his time off, Abloh will be based in his hometown of Chicago with his family, and we wish him a speedy and rest-filled recovery.
"Virgil Abloh shared today that he is shifting gears to a pace less than his usual constant work and travel, for a few months, due to health considerations. ... He continues to work closely with his teams at Louis Vuitton Men's and Off-White™ as well as with brands he collaborates with around the world," said an Off-White representative in an official statement.
